Summary
US equities opened a little weak, with the SPX flooring at 2957, and then a very natural rebound into early afternoon. The closing hour saw a mini ramp, with the SPX even turning fractionally positive, settling +1pt to 2979.
Volatility picked up a little, with the VIX printing 16.52 in late morning, but settling -0.5% at 15.20. S/t outlook still offers the sp'2920s with VIX 18/19s. The ECB this Thursday would be a prime excuse.
