Q2 begins strong

US equity indexes closed significantly higher, sp +32pts (1.2%) at 2867. Nasdaq comp' and Dow both +1.3%. The two leaders - Trans/R2K, settled +2.3% and +1.1% respectively.VIX settled -2.3% to 13.40.

April/Q2 began on a strong note, helped by a combination of Asian/European market strength, higher WTIC, and rebounding bond yields.Volatility was naturally subdued, with the VIX stuck in the 14/13s.

The market is s/t over-stretched, and a cooling wave is due, although no price action <2810 can be expected. The March settlement was outright bullish, and a challenge of the 2900s is clearly viable within April.
